I made this study today on handmade paper in crayon and soft pencil. I often want to draw flowers when they are on the way out. Not sure why, maybe they are stripped of their blousy presence that they have when in full flowering. More interesting often when wilting and stripped down to something else.. They have lasted a good two weeks which is amazing really! I have peace again today, so drawing and looking is a kind of treat and freedom when alone. I love it.
