Well the show is down and packed away with pieces sold or taken back by artists or wrapped up waiting to be taken to my house so they can be picked up at a later date. It’s as if it never happened! But it did, and now I have my Thursdays and Fridays back. Hope to be doing some volunteer work with vulnerable adults this term in preparation for my puppetry workshops which need to become real this year. New horizons and ventures beckon ain’t life grand! It’s my last year doing this Artshealth MA which has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. The weight of ethical responsibility is massive, but it is so important. I will keep you posted as to developments everyone.

Here I am in front of four of my oil paintings in the show. Mo De Rome took the shots so thankyou to her. She is in the show and was really impressed with the space and curation. I am proud and pleased with how it has gone. Lots of wonderful conversations with artists and visitors. Some surprising responses and lots of food for thought as ever. It comes down on Monday 23rd of September so huge thanks to all contributors, those who helped and people who came to see. Onward and upward! Click images to enlarge as usual.

My blue boots from today, ink and watercolour. First drawing for a bit, tried drawing them the other day but didn’t work. I’ve been tired after the show and curating etc So glad to get back into stuff again!

Here are some photos taken by me inbetween talking to folk and giving out wine and juice. So glad I managed to take some! Had some wonderful and very special conversations with artists and visitors. I felt blessed indeed, still going over it all in my memory as you do! Thanks to everyone who came it means so much. To those who haven’t seen it I will be invigilating Thurs and Friday for the next five weeks 11-4ish(have to get my train) Would love to see you there and chat.

It’s the preview of our collaborative show this Saturday 18th August so do come along if you can! 2-4 pm at Neoartists gallery in Bolton on the upper level of the shopping centre near Debenhams. It’s really gone up well even though I say so myself. Jasmine Renold and me curated it. A great mix of old artist friends who are painters, and new friends found on twitter surprisingly enough, as well as some met at Neoartists. There are painters, sculptors, installation artists, textile and stitch artists and poets. A great mix all exploring the Self and Other starting point. Not to be missed!
