I have co-curated this show with Richard Cross and am in it with five pieces. Eight artists celebrating the medium of paint in different ways. Do catch if you can, on now and through May and June. Some great work in there even though say so myself!

‘Keep the Cushions’ drawing in pencil and crayon
I made this drawing yesterday after casting around as to what to respond to in the house. As before it was right in front of me. The cushions I have recently made on the sofa. I knew as I was on my own that day that they wouldn’t be disturbed and I could relax, look and draw. I have some new crayons which I ordered from the Courtauld and really enjoyed using them. Drawing helps you to really see….

‘My Shelves’ drawing on handmade paper
I often wait to see what will pull me towards it as a motif for a drawing and am frequently surprised to find it is something that is right in front of me. Not something set up, but just what is there. The hard bit seems to be tuning in enough to know and realise it consciously. This drawing from the other day is very much a case in point!
